The only way I could figure out how to let Taiylor play ball was to coach the team, so I had control of the practices. I forgot how basic coaching is for 6-7 yr olds. I would say things in practice and they would just stare at me like what are you talking about? Then it dawned on me, I needed to start from the very beginning. It was a lot harder than I thought, but a lot of fun. It's fun to see and experience the excitement with the kids. During the game, Taiylor was jumping all over the place, hoping she was where she was suppose to be. She had a huge smile on her face everytime she had the ball. A couple times she would come to me and say, Mom my side hurts. Is it time for a break yet? After the game, she talked about the other team and there was a pretty aggressive little girl. Taiylor just thought she was mean. She said, "I had to get rid of the ball fast or that girl was going to tackle me." We had a blast & they did great!
Taiylor I need to come and see you play, you looked so cute and athletic. Call Aunt Tammy and give her a schedule we would love to come. Tell your coach (mom) to always be positive and bring a treat after every game it makes it more fun to play :)
