Canning Day

A fun filled day of canning peaches.

Cameron's job was to peel the peaches. Cute little hands.

Cameron and Grandma Horne. For some reason the kids always seem to learn a little more with Grandma.

Cameron holding a piece of peach skin. What great memories.

Despite all the mess and time of canning. It always feels great to get it done & place them on my shelves. The kids really seem to enjoy this time & look forward to helping me and of course Grandma can. Their favorite seems to be peeling the peaches, adding the sugar, and of course eating them fresh. The love to can pears because we color our juice with food coloring. So if you go down to our pantry you will see rainbow pears...orange, green, yellow, blue, purple, pink, aqua, and even yes thanks to Travis black. Thanks mom for always coming over to help. She seems to have more patience with the kids as they help us can. Brinley canned the first time this year and other than taking 1 bite out of a lot of pears she loved to watch Grandma pull the stem off with her teeth. Great Memories!!

Oh my Sweet Brinley...

Learns to take off the diaper...

UH OH
What a Shot.

Diaper almost off and throwing a fit.
She is learning new things every day words and actions. They grow up so fast. Her newest word is Heavy pronounced HEBEE. She is a free spirit and keeps us on our toes, but such a joy in our lives.

Staying Busy...

Just a quick catch up...Taiylor is loving school which is a true blessing. I am so grateful she enjoys learning. Cameron on the other hand is struggling with school. So far we haven't made it a day with out a lot of tears. Grandma Horne went to school last time and the time before that I had to pull him out early. We are hoping for a better day tomorrow. So far no tears the night before which is improvement. He is such a cute kid, but so afraid of change and feeling a little insecure. Brinley is growing up more everyday and hitting the terrible two's early. She is so smart and comes up with new things all the time. She actually got all our keys out of the drawer found the 4-wheeler keys and then I found her on the 4-wheeler with the keys in the ignition and trying to start it. That's a little scary. As for Travis and I we are staying busy with work and raising a family.

1st Day of School 2009-2010

Cameron's 1st day of Kindergarten. Isn't he so handsome.

Taiylor 2nd grade. She is a natural. Right before I took the picture she tilted her head for a pose.

Waiting for the bus. Taiylor excited and Cameron petrified!

Bus arrives and now I am trying to convince Cameron he can do it and to stop crying. He was so scared, but trying to be so brave.

We made it on the bus. Thank goodness Taiylor is there with him. Good Job Cameron!
Cameron coming off the bus at school.

Hands in the pockets and sister right behind. Maybe there is a ounce of confidence. They grow up so fast.

Taiylor's good friend Emma & of course Cameron.

Cameron made it into class. YEAH!

Cameron and Mrs. Wilson.

Taiylor and Mrs. Coffin Wow she has grown up.
Well, 1st day of school. Taiylor was full of excitement and couldn't wait to go. Cameron was really nervous and needed a lot of encouragement. They are both great kids, but so different. Taiylor is outgoing & adapts fairly easy to change. Cameron is a little go getter, but likes to be close to home & change makes him nervous. I guess you could say Taiylor is a lot like me and Cameron a lot like his dad. I am so proud of them both and hope their 1st day is wonderful! Brinley now home a lone and bored with out her siblings to follow.

Cabin at Island Park

Hanging out on the 4-wheelers

Isn't she so cute. She loves to ride...Helmet and all!

My three little riders.

Cameron fishing with his dad. He caught four fish and even got blood on his shoe to prove it. He was so proud. His true passion is hanging with his dad!

Buffalo walking down the middle of the street at West Yellowstone. It added 25 min driving time...stubborn buffalo!

Guess he owns the road.

Firehole...Pam said it looked like a cheesy engagement picture! SCARY

Kids waded for a little while at Firehole.
Another year has past & gone for the Bybee reunion cabin at Island Park. It can get a little crowded and chaotic, but we always end up having fun! The kids love to ride the 4-wheelers and Brinley was a little trooper. She fell asleep a couple times riding out of pure exhaustion, but she kept pointing to the 4-wheelers to ride and can even say it! It is beautiful country we have just at our back door. We look forward to next year!!

Redfish Lake Trip

Brinley was a little afraid of the water, but she loved playing in the sand!

Taiylor and Cameron played a lot in the water and the sand. They acutally got along for a whole 4 days!!!

Cameron thought dad's snorkeling gear was pretty awesome. He can be such a goof!

Cameron, Travis, & cousin Devri riding the tubes. Cameron was little nervous, but afterwards he wanted to go again. Glad they didn't fall off.

Taiylor's 1st time skiing. I had to give her 5 bucks! Thanks Devri for standing in the cold water to help me little girl. Your mom did the same for me! We love you!!

And she is up and going...She told me when we turned the boat to come back her face wasn't really happy because it was scary! So proud of her. Try again next year.

Taiylor feeding the chipmunks at the campground. Brinley tried to mimic the noise and loved to chase them.

Cameron's turn to feed the chipmunks.

End of Redfish Lake.

On our way home, after 4 days...they all crashed within the first 15 min.

Redfish lake has been our annual tradition with the Burtenshaw family for 32 yrs. I have been going since I was a baby. It is so beautiful despite the glacier water. My kids had a blast and it was Brinley's first time camping. She was a trooper but into everything. Travis & I ran the whole time trying to keep her out of things or out of trouble. It was fun to get away, but glad to come home to our warm beds and warm shower! Thanks Grandpa Burtenshaw for starting a great family tradition.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CAMERON

My little boy is "5" yrs old. He wanted a skateboard cake.

If you look closely there is a blue water ball from Brinley then a big fat hug for her brother!

Taiylor was excited to give him his first transformer

That afternoon was spent with some of his friends for a water party. He loves to play with the neighborhood boys. He says they are his buddies.

We had 2 parties for him (family and friends). Cameron reading his duck card from Grandpa and Grandma Bybee.

Grandma and Grandpa Horne. Capture moments!

Grandma and Grandpa Bybee. Yet another moment...

Cameron's favorite gift. Spongebob skatboard from Grandma and Grandpa Horne. The only rule from Grandparents was parents had to buy all the gear and we did. He rode it all night and already has figured out how to turn in a circle. Dad pulled him behind on the 4 wheeler so he could get a feel of how to balance. He is also excited to go to the Chuckers game from Grandma and Grandpa Bybee. Now if it were only time for duck hunting my son would be in Heaven. We love our little Cameron. He can be a spitfire, but has the softest, sweetest personality ever. Not to mention that he can be hilarious. Happy Birthday Son!

Play Time

Rexburg Splash Park. Ward play day and a Sister day for me!

Brinley's first carousel ride. She loved the horses & kept bopping her head to the music!

Ride pony ride. Aren't they cute. Their cousins were on the horses next to them.

Cameron and one of his buddies Bryce.

What a good big sister.

Brinley was a little nervous at first, but felt more comfortable if her brother and sister were by her side.
We had quite the week last week. Splash park on Wed then took the kids to Jackson to swim on Friday. Unfortunately that trip wasn't the best. Brinley got car sick & threw up all over the car and me. We had to ride home for 2 hours smelling vomit. Lucky us. When we got to the pool a little kid had an accident and they closed the kiddie pool which is why we took the 2 hour drive. The kids still said they had fun in the big pool and Taiylor said it was worth our time. Thanks kids. We love you.
