Disneyland Vacation

DISNEYLAND

The famous Mickey at Disneyland. The flowers were amazing.

Taiylor was amazed at the castle. Aren't they so cute?

They loved meeting the characters...Taiylor especially. Cameron was more into the rides and shows.

Cameron thought this was pretty cool.

One of Taiylor's most favorite princesses. She was able to meet three of them, Snow White, Jasmine, and Sleeping Beauty. Look at that grin!

Taiylor was asked to be part of the Celebration parade and loved it!

Cameron like the Tarzan treehouse and loved Jungle Cruise and Pirates of the Carribean. His most favorite was Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Railroad.

SEA WORLD

The famous Shamu show. The kids were amazed until we got soaking wet from Shamu. They were both in tears and Cameron said "Gross, I just drank Shamu water."

They were able to feed and pet the dolphins. Me too. It was awesome!

LAGUANA BEACH

This is why I love the ocean and a beautiful beach. A picture is worth a thousand words. I could sit here forever.

First time for the kids at an ocean. It was chilly and they still loved it. They collected a ton of seashells and played in the waves and sand. I have a ton more pictures, but had to be a little selective for my blog. We definetely have to go back!

Thought this turned out cute. The beach brings out the best in me. Lucky man...love this guy!

Our trip was amazing. It wasn't really relaxing for Travis or I because we were constantly running and doing whatever the kids wanted to do. However, we made many memories and that is what matters the most. The kids loved it and other than the car rides, were best friends. It was so fun to see the excitement they had everday. They got a little worn out at the end of the day at Disneyland, but we would normally get some Cotton Candy and one time even gave in to giving them some Mountain Dew. Cameron was pretty excited to get to drink the adult pop with caffiene. Taiylor loved the princesses and getting autographs from all the characters. Cameron enjoyed the rides. The first rollercoaster we took them on, Space Mountain, was rather intimidating and all in the dark (our bad). Travis and I thought they mayhave passed out during the ride and we couldn't see them. When we got off they both had tears and said they were never going to do that again. They got brave and did other ones though. Travis's parents were able to meet us at Disneyland the second day and the kids were so excited to see them. They had been gone to Yuma, AZ for the last couple months.

They really enjoyed the beach although it was a little chilly. They played in the waves and looked everywhere for seashells. Travis and I loved watching them and enjoyed the beautiful view. Seaworld was fun and we are glad we went, but I think they were a little more fond of Disneyland. Cameron loved the sharks & the dolphins and Taiylor loved the dolphins & Shamu. They thought the Sea lion show was a lot of fun especially because they didn't get wet. We hated the trip to come to an end, but were excited to go home to see Brinley who was able to stay with Grandma Horne. Nothing better than building good memories!

Taiylor Dentist app and Cameron's Crazy Day!

Taiylor was a little trooper. She had 4 teeth pulled. Her mouth is too tiny and they had to make some room for her permanent teeth. Look at that priceless smile!

Doesn't everyone remember losing their front teeth and sticking the tongue through the middle..she has a cute lisp now.

Those teeth would have never came out on their own. Look at the roots on those things.

Cameron had Dr. Suess crazy day at school today and picked out his outfit. NICE SON

He was set on having a mohawk. It seems to be the in thing with kids these days, but I won't let him have one, but for this day we let him have some fun. Cute kid even with a crazy mohawk.

Brinley's little shiner!

Thank goodness for her nukkie! OUCH!

She looks a little tipsy! Isn't she irresitable even with a black eye.

Amongst all this we manage to find a smile.

Well our first black eye. Apparently she was jumping off the couch at daycare before Kaylnn could get to her and she hit her eye. Glad it was only a black eye and no stitches.

Happy Birthday MACY!

1 yr ago...oooh she was so cute and little! Love at first sight.

Now, despite my wishes she has her own pillow and when Travis comes home she is scratching the door. Good thing is... she doesn't leave the entrance way!

There she sits...

Out she goes...she has gotten so big.
Who would have thought that a dog could become part of a family. I can honestly say that the statement, "A dog is a man's best friend" is true. Travis loves that dog and I would have to say my little Brinley comes in a close second. Brinley calls her "My Best Buddy." Macy will follow Travis anywhere, literally. Travis will walk around the house and Macey will move window to window to find him. Cameron loves to train her and always looks forward to Duck Hunting season and Taiylor well she wants a little dog. As for me, I enjoy watching them and on occasion get succored in by the puppy eyes. I still wish dogs wore diapers and had no desire to chew on things. Happy 1st year Birthday!

Happy New Year!

Our New Years Eve was spent with my sister's family, Debbie, and my Mom and Dad. We hung out at her house ate a lot of food (0f course) and watched a movie while the kids enjoyed playing. The kids spent most of the day playing outside in the snow as we woke up to about 4 inches or more of white fluffy snow. They have really enjoyed playing out their and sledding down our neighbor's hill in their backyard. New Years Day was a great break for Travis and I as my mom offered to take our kids overnight for a sleepover at Grandma's house. My kids had a blast and Brinley was so excited to sleep in her own big bed. They played out in the snow and they even wore our old snowsuits that mom has kept all these years. (Will get those pictures from mom for a later posting.)
As for Travis and I we were able to go out for a night on the town for dinner and a movie. Following the movie we drove around our old neighborhood, which was a lot of fun reflecting on our old memories as it was our first home. A lot of stuff we miss, but we sure do love where we are now and all the memories we are building. Now 2010 is here and the world thought we would never make it pass 2000. I still remember being in Spokane filling my bathtub full of water in case we lost all the power and my mom being worried to death that we were so far away from family. Well we made it and I am sure there will be many suprises, opportunities, and memories around the corner. Happy New Year.

Bybee Christmas '09

Christmas Eve started out with us going out to dinner and watching a movie at home while the kids opened up their Christmas Eve gift of new P.J.'s We then did the Scripture story of the birth of Christ and sent the kids to bed. They didn't get to sleep until 1045pm because they were too excited for Santa. Then the morning came and what a morning it was. It started out at 5:45AM as the kids ran out to see their gifts from Santa Claus. Cameron was excited for his bow & arrow, but wanted to know where all the other gifts were that he asked Santa to bring. We had to explain to him that Santa has to take gifts to a lot of boys and girls. Fortunatley he bought it! Taiylor was ecstatic for her American Girl and she has carried it everwhere with her since she got it. Brinley was a little unsure of the whole thing til she got into her stocking and found juice, gum, and candy then she was in seventh heaven. She got the idea of opening presents really quickly as she watched her siblings. The picture of Travis out in the garage was where I had to put his gift because it was too big, I even suprised him this year YEAH!! Unfortunately Christmas morning went by too fast, as I had to go to work at 10am. Nevertheless, I am so grateful for the morning and the memories we were able to build! Merry Christmas.

Caroling for Christmas '09

The kids wanted to go caroling for one of our Christmas activities and they had a blast. We went to about 5 neighbor homes and they would pick the song to sing. Brinley got the hang of it after about the second home and she would run from car to house just smiling. The kids really liked it when the neighbors would let us sing then they would give the kids their neighbor gift. (typical children) Caroling isn't Travis favorite, but he was a good sport and also smiled the whole time. We ended our night with some hot chocolate. Love Christmas traditions!

Christmas Time!

Brinley loves to be in the kitchen...so I thought she could help me make our neighbor gifts. We made mini loaves of bread and homemade freezer jam. She made a huge mess, but loved every minute of it!

Her own little mitten & spoon.

She typically loves to play in the big bucket of flour, but I thought a little pan would be safer and less clean up.

She transferred the flour with sugar, chocolate chips, salt and anything else we could mix back and forth from pan to floor to pan.

Taiylor was in the school choir and had a beautiful choir program. She has a beautiful little voice and loves to sing and make everybody smile!

Isn't she beautiful...

Special suprise for the kids. Santa showed up.

Too help the kids remember the Reason for the Season; we took them to the visitors center and watched a Christmas movie. Travis then bore his testimony to the kids and then they listened to the story about the Christus Statue!

What a cute group!

The Christmas Season is always such a blessing in our life. Despite all the business and the chaos, we always manage to take the time to Remember our Savior and His Birth. Thanksgiving seemed to come and go and I didn't get a chance to post pictures. I always want my children to know the importance of Christmas and yes, Santa is a lot of fun; but one day they will see what it is all about!

Brinley's real first snow day.

All Bundled Up...Ready for the 1st snowfall of 2009 and old enough to now what it is.

Brinley and Cameron out making snowballs.

This is Brinley's first year she understands snow. She knows enough to say, "Snow...Berrrr."
She enjoyed the time outside with her brother, but lost her gloves and came in with red hands. So many more adventures to come.

Happy Halloween!

Taiylor has never been fond of pumpkin "guts," but Brinley and Cameron dug right in!

The final product. They were so proud!

Our Halloween family shot. (Brinley got a little messy, so it was just easier to take off the clothes.)

Decorating sugar cookies. This year I got a new recipe for hard frosting, so the kids were actually able to paint them!

Aren't they so cute! What a long night full of sugar & fantasy!

This would be my super beautiful princess...

This would be Super Scary... Vampire

And this would be super Cutie...Minnie Mouse.

It was nice to finally spend Halloween with my kids, I have had to work the last couple years. I forgot how much running around you do especially when you have a 2 yr old that wants to go everywhere her big siblings went. The kids had a fun time and now they are looking forward to Thanksgiving and yes especially Christmas!

Taiylor's Little Miss Rigby

All the contestants. "42" of them...

Taiylor's Big Sister...Sarah...She still misses her.

Always been a poser.

Our fancy backdrop

Grandma and Grandpa Horne

Grandma and Grandpa Bybee
Taiylor had a wonderful time and came home telling me she really felt like a princess that night. I was so proud of her. She did a great job. After the pageant was done all the big sisters gave the girls a little reward and Taiylor was given "Little Miss Dancer." She came home and immediately hung it on her wall. I am grateful for the experience she had and think it was good for her self-esteem. Thank you Grandma and Grandpa for all the support!! So proud of you Taiylor!
